British Airways Club Suite Routes

British Airways Club Suite Routes

The Ultimate Guide for BA Club Suite, all the info you need about routes where you can experience the new BA Club Suite, including flight numbers, plane registrations, retrofit schedules, and more.

Introduction

Over the last years, British Airways was not particularly known for offering one of the world’s leading Business Class products. That changed significantly with the introduction of the new Club Suite, featuring fully flat seats and sliding privacy doors.

British Airways introduced its first Club Suite cabin with the Airbus A350-1000 in July 2019. Since then, more and more aircraft across the long-haul fleet have been equipped with the new cabin. The list below shows all aircraft currently offering the British Airways Club Suite experience and will continue to grow as additional aircraft are delivered or retrofitted.

As fleet plans and retrofit schedules can still change, some future routes or aircraft assignments may be adjusted over time. This guide therefore reflects not only the current situation, but also planned future Club Suite routes and aircraft.

You can also check the recently operated routes of a specific aircraft by clicking on its registration number below.

British Airways Club Suite – Quick Overview

  • Club Suite is British Airways’ newer long-haul business class product with sliding doors.
  • The easiest way to identify it is usually the 1-2-1 seat map.
  • This guide includes routes, flight numbers, aircraft types and registration numbers.
  • Aircraft swaps can happen, so always check the seat map before booking.
  • The list is updated when route or fleet changes occur.
Last Update: May 2026

British Airways Club Suite delivers a great business class experience, but fares can vary greatly depending on when and where you book. If you want to learn how to consistently find cheap business class tickets, don’t miss our full guide to booking affordable business class flights.

1. All BA Club World Suite Routes

These flights are always to/from London Heathrow.

By clicking on a flight number, you can see on planefinder.net which aircraft flew that route the last 7 days. You may then compare those registration numbers with our “BA Club Suite by registration number list”, to see how often a route is operated by airplanes equipped by the club suite business class.

Furthermore, some few of those routes are not operated every day by the Club World Suite cabin, flight numbers should only be considered as additional information.

Important: Keep in mind that British Airways can change flight equipment at any given time without further notice. For any reason, like an aircraft that is out of service. As you booked a business class flight, you will of course be in business class, but without the new club world suite cabin.

2. How to check if a British Airways flight offers the new Club World Suite?

All of British Airways’ new Airbus A350-1000 will offer the new Club World Suite.

Since October 2019, the first new Club world Suite cabin has been available in a retrofitted Boeing 777-200 as well. From that moment on, more and more B777-200 are being retrofitted.

In 2020 the new Boeing 787-10 did also receive the club suite cabin.

The way you can tell if an aircraft has the new BA Club World Suite cabin is from the seat map. We use ExpertFlyer to check the seat maps. This is what you need to look out for.

The seat map for the Club Suite looks like this, with a cabin layout that show a 1-2-1 seating arrangement. Older cabins without the club suite do not have a 1-2-1 configuration.

Alternatively, you can also check via Google Flights if the business class seat is shown as “Suite”. However, this will not always work correctly.

3. British Airways planes equipped with the Club World Suite

  • Airbus A350-1000: 18 of 18 (100%)
  • Boeing 777-200: 31 of 31 (100% – all LHR based, 0% for the LGW fleet)
  • Boeing 777-300: 16 of 16 (100%)
  • Boeing 777-9: 0 (12 ordered in total)
  • Boeing 787-10: 12 of 12 (100%, 18 ordered in total)
  • Boeing 787-9: 3 of 18 (18%)
  • Boeing 787-8: 12 of 12 (100%)
  • Airbus A380: 0 of 12 (0%)

Tip for Checking Club Suite Availability

The seat map remains one of the most practical ways to check whether your British Airways flight is planned with Club Suite. A 1-2-1 business class layout is the key sign to look for.

I’m planning to surprise my son… do you know if BA272 (on 12/22 / SAN – LHR) has the club suite or the old style business class seats?

  • Stephen

If a particular aircraft has been upgraded to Club World Suites for Business Class, does that automatically mean they upgraded First Class seats as well? Specifically, I am flying First class on BA226/BA227 (ATL -> LHR) in June. I can tell that Business Class has been upgraded, but I’m not sure if that applies to First?

…and THANK YOU for the wonderful and detailed information on your site. It is amazing!!

  • Leonidas

Seems like G-ZBJE returning to service after a very long time, upgraded with CS on Monday 28/4.
This will be the 4th of the type

  • Mary

    Hi,
I am booked on ba0015 from heathrow to sydney at the end of june returning mid July on BA0016. Do you know if this flight has suites ?

    • premiumflights

Yes there will be still some with old business class. All those planes that have not been retrofitted yet and are not in the list here.

    • Ajay Shah

This is super helpful. I’m looking to book LAX to LHR BA280 for next April 2026 and it is listed as club suites above for that route. At the moment it’s being flown by a 777. But for April 2026 it’s showing a 789? what are the chances this will a retrofitted 789 as I’m really keen to avoid old CW if possible.

      • Chris

In case it helps, for April 2026 there are 3 flights from LAX to LHR, and each one is a different aircraft type. They are 777-300ER, 787-9, and A380. I booked on the 777-300ER to increase my chance of getting the new club suites, despite me prefering to fly on the 787-9. Why risk it, right?

  • Michelle Tapola

Thank you for this great info! I tried to read through all comments to make sure you didn’t answer this already-but couldn’t find anything…so my question is-we are flying LAX to Heathrow (then to Pisa) on May 31, BA280 on 777…I cannot tell if it is world or suites…when booked it was world-and when I try to search I only see options for a “777-xx” , but not just a”777″, any help is appreciated

  • OnlyCereal

We’re flying from Nashville to LHR on the 21:25 May 4th this year and I wondered if you know whether that will be CS or CW? When I booked the flights in January, the layout was showing as CS on the seat booking, but it isn’t letting me look at the seating plan any more and I’m concerned it may have reverted to CW? Thanks for any help! 🙂

  • JoeGo

Looking for reward flights and noticed in April 2026 LHR to HND
the BA005 the 3 times weekly later (11:50am) flight is now showing a 787 Club Suite layout.
The daily 9:05am is still showing the old CW.

      • JoeGo

No problem, it seems to be a real mix. As it’s moved to the Spring 26 booking it looks like 2 flights a day, one A350 and the other 787. Still old CW on most 787s I’ve seen, I’m going there and back on one April 26 so fingers crossed for a swap out.

  • Nick

Hi – love this page, I look at it often! Here’s a question – when I look at a flight, BA266 / BA267 to PDX, it says in your list for 2025 that it’s switching to the Club Suite; when I look on BA.com and a seat map when booking, it shows the Club Suite layout; but when I look at booking via AA.com, it says the aircraft is a 787-9, which wouldn’t have the Club Suite. Curious what your take is on this, which is most accurate, and apologies if you’ve answered this already in the past! I’d almost rather be in Premium Economy than the old business class seat!

    • premiumflights

Hi, I had a look at the route. I guess your flight is in or after November, as I can see that BA switches the 787-10 with club suite to the 787-9 (without club suites) starting November. I’ve updated the post now as well.

      • Nick

Thanks so much for the quick answer! The flights I’m looking at are specifically in April 2025, next month – so I guess, I’m curious your opinion on why there would be a mismatch in what’s shown on BA’s seat map vs. what plane type is listed on AA’s (or AS’s) website when booking? Just a curious question, as you’re an expert on these things! Probably just a data discrepancy between the two partner airlines’ websites, maybe old data on AA’s site?

  • Chris Chapman

You mention Johannesburg has one flight a day with Club Suite, but which one? When I look at them both it seems they’re currently both A380s, neither of which (I think!) have Club Suite…..? Thanks

    • premiumflights

When I look at the flights, on of both flights is operated by a 777. But, as mentioned in the text only until May and then again starting November.
EDIT: I just had a closer look, it seems only until May. BA is using the A380’s now also for next winter on that route.

      • Chris Chapman

Ok thanks, so if I’m looking at flights in Jan 26, which of the two flights should I choose for club suite? If indeed you can tell…!

        • premiumflights

I guess you haven’t seen my EDIT or you have written your answer at the same time ;).
BA is using the A380’s for the 2 daily flights as well in Winter 25/26

    • Kieran

      Hello!

      I fly BA0169 mid-November and come back on BA0169 end-November.

When I booked it had the ying-yang business class but after checking a few times it’s now moved to the Club Suite layout when booking my seats (Silver member).

Your post does not mention Shanghai with the Club Suite so I just wondered why and if the planes are likely to change again for my flights?

      Thanks!

      • premiumflights

        Hi,
I’ve checked, and it seems that BA is using retrofitted 777’s from November to March on the route LHR-PVG. I will add it to the list.

    • Meg

I’m flying BA48 SEA-LHR on 12/21/25 and the seat map now shows the old configuration and sadly appears to be the case on just 12/20 and 12/21, all other flights before and after these dates list individual suite… 😞

  • DG

Looking at BA0226 ATL to LHR in May/June 2025. BA still showing Club World but, looks like some of the planes flying the route are Club Suites.

  • Sally Smith

We’ve booked a Gatwick to Singapore for October 2025, it seems to show the old config but wonder if BA will refit the plane to the new Suite in time? Is this likely?.

  • Dave W

Appreciate it’s a long way off and things can change but we recently booked BA225 to New Orleans and BA224 back to London in Nov/Dec this year.

The seat plan on our booking shows the 1-2-1 suites config but only 5 rows to choose from. That’s a long way off to be sure…..but maybe suites of some kind….fingers crossed!!

  • Lou

    Great article! Really useful.

Do you have info in the 787-9 roll out. I appreciate 0 out of 18 have been done but any idea when due?

Specifically interested in Haneda to Heathrow flights in – I think most start with G-ZBK(*)

    Many thanks in adance!

    • premiumflights

I think BA will first retrofit all 787-8 before they start with the 787-9. It takes approximately three months to retrofit an airplane.

  • Mike

Hey thanks for this article, has been super helpful. Do you know what the situation with flights out of Gatwick will be by early 2026? I’m looking to fly to Costa Rica (BA2263) in February or March next year. Having checked the history of this route, they have most recently been flown by reg numbers G-YMMD, G-YYMA and G-YMMA which are 777-236 (ER). Going by BA’s seat plans, these have the 121 configuration for club world however this route and these aircraft aren’t listed in the article so not sure if I’ve got this wrong? Even so, given I wouldn’t be flying until Feb/March 2026, would it be reasonable to expect club suites to be rolled out across the board by then?

    • premiumflights

British Airways has not yet commented on when flights from Gatwick are expected to have the Club Suite installed. However, it is true that some flights from Gatwick are already using aircraft with Club Suite cabins, but it is still unclear when these will be used regularly.

      • Jenna guanci

my aircraft has changed a bunch and now shows 1-2-1 layout but very small cabin comparatively to what it was. it’s a wk out so I’m thinking it is set. I looked at google flights and it says “suites” on 787 but doesn’t specify if it is 787-8, 787-9, ect. i tried following the steps to check reg # but couldn’t find. I am on BA 0202 BOS-LHR on 4/23 21:55. is this a new cabin? appreciate the help and this article!

  • FlyingLJ

Hi! I don’t see Pittsburgh on this list. We’re flying in mid-may to and from PIT to Heathrow and it appears on the way there we have the Club Suites and on the way back (a week and a half later) we don’t. Do you know if they’re all slated to be updated by then or is there a chance the aircraft is changed by May 2025?

    • premiumflights

I can only see a few dates in May and June with Club Suites to/from Pittsburgh, but no other dates for this year (until now)

  • RH

We are on BA178 from JFK to LHR on 1/27 and booked specifically for the Club Suites (we are flying up from Miami the day before). I went to look at seat options and the seat map changed to one with club world from club suites.

1 – Do you think this is set now as we are close to departure (5 days) or does it still have the chance to change back?

2 – If they do fly a plane with club world, is there any kind of process to get comepnsated for the fact we were flying to NYC to take that flight on club suites?

    • RH

      G-VIIV
      G-VIIW
      G-VIIY

are the three that don’t have club suites and g-viiy is being used on the jfk route currently. I am hoping it’s a mistake but my gut tells me we are getting G-VIIY
