British Airways Club Suite Routes

British Airways Club Suite Routes

The Ultimate Guide for BA Club Suite, all the info you need about routes where you can experience the new BA Club Suite, including flight numbers, plane registrations, retrofit schedules, and more.

Introduction

Over the last years, British Airways was not particularly known for offering one of the world’s leading Business Class products. That changed significantly with the introduction of the new Club Suite, featuring fully flat seats and sliding privacy doors.

British Airways introduced its first Club Suite cabin with the Airbus A350-1000 in July 2019. Since then, more and more aircraft across the long-haul fleet have been equipped with the new cabin. The list below shows all aircraft currently offering the British Airways Club Suite experience and will continue to grow as additional aircraft are delivered or retrofitted.

As fleet plans and retrofit schedules can still change, some future routes or aircraft assignments may be adjusted over time. This guide therefore reflects not only the current situation, but also planned future Club Suite routes and aircraft.

You can also check the recently operated routes of a specific aircraft by clicking on its registration number below.

British Airways Club Suite – Quick Overview

  • Club Suite is British Airways’ newer long-haul business class product with sliding doors.
  • The easiest way to identify it is usually the 1-2-1 seat map.
  • This guide includes routes, flight numbers, aircraft types and registration numbers.
  • Aircraft swaps can happen, so always check the seat map before booking.
  • The list is updated when route or fleet changes occur.
Last Update: May 2026

British Airways Club Suite delivers a great business class experience, but fares can vary greatly depending on when and where you book. If you want to learn how to consistently find cheap business class tickets, don’t miss our full guide to booking affordable business class flights.

1. All BA Club World Suite Routes

These flights are always to/from London Heathrow.

By clicking on a flight number, you can see on planefinder.net which aircraft flew that route the last 7 days. You may then compare those registration numbers with our “BA Club Suite by registration number list”, to see how often a route is operated by airplanes equipped by the club suite business class.

Furthermore, some few of those routes are not operated every day by the Club World Suite cabin, flight numbers should only be considered as additional information.

Important: Keep in mind that British Airways can change flight equipment at any given time without further notice. For any reason, like an aircraft that is out of service. As you booked a business class flight, you will of course be in business class, but without the new club world suite cabin.

2. How to check if a British Airways flight offers the new Club World Suite?

All of British Airways’ new Airbus A350-1000 will offer the new Club World Suite.

Since October 2019, the first new Club world Suite cabin has been available in a retrofitted Boeing 777-200 as well. From that moment on, more and more B777-200 are being retrofitted.

In 2020 the new Boeing 787-10 did also receive the club suite cabin.

The way you can tell if an aircraft has the new BA Club World Suite cabin is from the seat map. We use ExpertFlyer to check the seat maps. This is what you need to look out for.

The seat map for the Club Suite looks like this, with a cabin layout that show a 1-2-1 seating arrangement. Older cabins without the club suite do not have a 1-2-1 configuration.

Alternatively, you can also check via Google Flights if the business class seat is shown as “Suite”. However, this will not always work correctly.

3. British Airways planes equipped with the Club World Suite

  • Airbus A350-1000: 18 of 18 (100%)
  • Boeing 777-200: 31 of 31 (100% – all LHR based, 0% for the LGW fleet)
  • Boeing 777-300: 16 of 16 (100%)
  • Boeing 777-9: 0 (12 ordered in total)
  • Boeing 787-10: 12 of 12 (100%, 18 ordered in total)
  • Boeing 787-9: 3 of 18 (18%)
  • Boeing 787-8: 12 of 12 (100%)
  • Airbus A380: 0 of 12 (0%)

Tip for Checking Club Suite Availability

The seat map remains one of the most practical ways to check whether your British Airways flight is planned with Club Suite. A 1-2-1 business class layout is the key sign to look for.

Starting April, 1 of 2 daily flights should be operated by an A350, with Suites. The 789 will get the suites later in the year on that route.

      • Kate

Flying 787-9’s from Shanghai to london (BA168) on June 6th, then london to tokyo (BA5) on July 14th. Think there is any chance they’ll have club suites bu then? Sadly imagine it’s unlikely, but worth asking even if just to leep hope alive!

        • premiumflights

To Tokyo you simply picked the “wrong” of the two daily flights, BA7 already has Club Suites.

For Shanghai, BA is switching the route from the 777 to the 787 in April. As of now, the 787 assigned doesn’t show Club Suites. That said, BA is steadily retrofitting more of the 787 fleet, so there is a small chance the aircraft gets upgraded before June. Wouldn’t count on it, but it’s not impossible either.

          • Alex Welch

Hello – do you know if the Shanghai route is switching permanently to the 787 in April? Or whether this is just for the summer. Thanks

          • premiumflights

Yes, from April onward the route will be operated exclusively by the 787, with retrofitted 787s equipped with suites to follow.

  • David

Can we have a seperate section added to show the LGW fleet. I know there are no plans to retrofit them as of now, but just so there’s visibility for those who are unaware that 0% of flights exLGW have club suites?

    • Ed

Im flying on Friday from LGW to St Lucia and the seat map for business has the 1-2-1 setup so i am confused what i should be expecting!

    • premiumflights

It is currently planned that British Airways will begin refitting its A380 fleet from mid-2026, meaning it will unfortunately not be possible for it to be ready by August.

    • Greg

Thank you for the update, great to see a 787-9 pass certification and up and running. Is a similar item happening to G-XLED which has been in Manila for 3 months? Wondering if getting New First, Club suites and PE. Not many to go now. Merry Christmas

      • Leonidas

Hi and Merry Christmas! All the best and happy flying!

I doubt seriously that G-XLED received the new First, CS and PE. I think the priority now is to complete 787-8s and 9s before taking over A380s. Everything comes down i believe in supply chain constraints

          • Anh Le

I can see that BA33 started to use this aircraft to Kuala Lumpur now. Do you know if there will be more of these Dreamliners coming soon?

          • premiumflights

At the moment, I can’t confirm that BA33 will consistently use aircraft equipped with Club Suites in the near future. So far, only a few isolated flights have been observed operating with the refurbished configuration, which suggests these were exceptions rather than a fixed aircraft assignment.

I would not rely on BA33 offering Club Suites on a regular basis yet.

Regarding the Dreamliner fleet, the current retrofit pace appears to be roughly one aircraft per month. Based on that rate, the rollout is progressing steadily but slowly, and it may still take some time before Club Suites become common on this route.

I am just wondering about the changes to BA16 from Sydney to Singapore in 2026. I am looking to book business class seats for December 2026, and as we approach these dates, it seems the BA16 flight will be aboard a 777, where it is currently aboard a 787-9 with Club Suits.

I read something a while ago that stated the 777 fleet for this router were being refurbished, so I am wondering if these will have the Club Suits in late 2026.

Anyway if anyone has any further info, I would love to hear it. Thanks!

  • Leonidas

    787-10s are changing registration numbers
G-ZBLM will receive the GEnx and not the RR engines so the remaining frames from the order of 18 will become G-ZBXA – (delivery should take place Q1 or Q2 2026)
    G-ZBXB – 2026
    G-ZBXC – 2026
    G-ZBXD – 2026
    G-ZBXE – 2026
    G-ZBXF – 2027
And then the new order, should then see the next available (G-ZBXG +) from late 2027 and onwards

    • premiumflights

Thanks so much for the update, and for all the great info you’ve shared over time! It’s been super helpful for keeping the list up to date. Really appreciate you taking the time to contribute again!

    • Anh Le

Do you know when BA33 to Kuala Lumpur will have Club Suite? I booked for 31/08/2026, but looks like it’s still the old config. 🤦‍♂️.

    • Luca

The BA 15/16 from LHR-SIN-SYD and back again when operated by a 777-300ER will always have the new club suite, which is every year from the end of October until the start of April. Outside of this period, it’s the 787-9, which has the older business class. British Airways keeps this schedule going, however, they are hoping to return to the B777-300ER year round as preciously operated before the pandemic. Hopefully that clarifies things.

    • premiumflights

They’re currently focusing on retrofitting the 787-8s first, followed by the 787-9s, and then the A380s. The initial plan was for the first retrofitted A380 to be ready in early 2026, but based on how these projects usually go, that timeline seems optimistic. More realistically, the first A380 will probably enter service in summer 2026 or even later. So as of now, there are no confirmed plans for the SFO route to get the new Club Suite anytime soon.

      • Linda Heinrichs

We are trying to fly from Pdx to LHR in March and wondered if the BA787-8 have all been converted. I will not fly in the original plane’s configuration. Any idea if the 8’s have been switched over to the club suite?

        • premiumflights

I’ve just checked, and it seems that all flights from PDX to LHR have the Club Suite now.
To be 100% sure when booking, take a look at the configuration: if it’s 1-2-1 (which it should be), then it’s the Club Suite.

  • Jay

LHR – ORD, the 295/294 is no longer the club suite in most cases, due to an equipment change as of March 2025. I’m on the 295 in Nov and it’s the old layout in ExpertFlyer

    London Heathrow – Chicago O’Hare
    * BA295/294 eff 30MAR25 787-8/-10 replaces 777-200ER

    • premiumflights

From what I can see, all LHR–ORD flights are currently operated with Club Suites. However, between October 26, 2025, and January 11, 2026, many of these flights will be operated by aircraft without Club Suites. After that period, all flights appear to return to Club Suite service

  • Jefferson

BA212 BOS to LHR is showing 1-2-1 seat club suite configuration but after digging into Google some people are reporting getting the disasterous flap seats. Anyone taken this route recently?

  • Marc Hitchens

I have a flight in March 2026 – and seat selection shows Suites config way out, and 2-3-2 (old CW?) return. As it’s 10 months away, any chance the fleet upgrade will have progressed or is it locked in the schedule? Appreciate the aircraft on the day may vary – and can’t complain as this is 100% Avios (PE) + 2x upgrade vouchers (1PAX), thank you Barclaycard! PS I think this is the week every year when BA swap out kit so the old planes fly. Worst thing is I don’t mind much which Suite I’m in outbound, but seat selection on old CW is GBP£150 extra one way to avoid being in the middle and stepping over someones legs to get out!

    BA15 LHR-SIN-SYD 25/03/26
    BA16 SYD-SIN-LHR 02/04/26

    • Emma CB

I’m in a similar situation! I happen to be on the Gatwick – Vancover route which isn’t upgraded. From some review, it appears that if you are using the cabin upgrade voucher, you can only view the Gatwick route (and therefore the old Club World) whereas when I use my Companion Voucher, all flights are available. Sadly, we are using both on this trip so we are stuck with the old layout. However, as Marc asks, the flights are a long way out – what is the likelihood the plan will change / be retrofitted in that time?

Appreciate this is like looking into a magic ball but any comments appreciated.

      Thanks

    • Darren

Exactly the same siuation for me and keen to find out. Seems strange they wouldnt put CS on this premium route all year round.

    • Leonidas

The outbound leg showing as 777 so you will have CS, return flight is replaced due to the winter scheduled to 787-9 so old CW seat

  • Bri

just want to thank you for keeping this lost updated. takes the guesswork out figuring out if you ba flight has club suites. I really appreciate you doing this.

    • Kristin C.

Do not give up hope! I am flying SAN-LHR on a 787-8 in 1 week, and they JUST changed the equipment on BA’s website this week to Club Suites from Club World. Very excited to do 11 hours in style!
