Hotel Review: Hilton London Bankside
We stayed in the Hilton London Bankside in Summer 2018, in a King Deluxe room.
Location
The Hilton London Bankside is centrally located in the Southwark district, adjacent to a bus stop, only a 5 min. walk away from the Southwark tube station and a 8 minutes walk away from the London Bridge tube station. Grocery stores, pubs and restaurants are within walking distance of the hotel as well.
Rooms
The rooms are spacious and very modern as the hotel has been opened only a couple of years ago and has some nice decor touches. Every standard amenities are available within the room and the King size bed was very comfortable. The complimentary minibar contained water and some lemonade.
The bathroom is really nice with a spacious walk in shower.
Food and drinks
The Oxbo bar is the bar/restaurant embedded in the hotel and it is also here where the breakfast is served. Breakfast is delicious with all kinds of available dishes. They serve you fresh orange juice at your tale and they have an egg station.
The design of the Oxbo bar is wonderful, modern and shiny. We also had some pre dinner cocktails here which were delicious, amazing job.
Staff
The staff in general is very friendly, we just had a small issue with our bags upon checking in as the staff seemed a little bit overloaded due to a big conference going on. Besides of that every one was attentive for our whole stay.
Other amenities
They have a lot of conference rooms and a fitness centre is also available. The gym might definitely be on the smaller side in terms of size but every standard machines are available at least once.
Pass or Fail?
PASS
The hotel is fairly modern, has spacious rooms and well located close to the city center and public transportation. Breakfast and the bar are truly exceptional so the hotel is definitely a PASS.
