Hotel Review: Pullman Munich

Review Pullman Munich of a Junior suite in winter of 2019.

Location

The Pullman Munich is centrally located between the city centre and the Allianz Arena. Adjacent to the hotel you will find a subway station and can reach the city center as well as the football stadium within 10 minutes. Furthermore, some shops, restaurants and bars are available within walking distance from the hotel.

The airport is located 25 minutes away by the Lufthansa Shuttle bus.

Rooms

Our junior suite was very spacious and the room was clean and still looked very good. You have a small entrance hall, and the living and sleeping area is divided by a big TV. A couch is available in the room as well. A drawback might be that you do not have a dedicated working desk.

The bathroom is of a normal size and was clean as well with a bathtub shower combination. The junior suite featured a balcony with two chairs which might be nice for some of you.

All usual amenities can be found within the room.

Food & Drinks

We only had a couple of drinks at the bar as well as a pizza. The pizza was surprisingly tasty and the drinks were of standard quality. Staff was not effective at all but we will come to that later on.

Staff

We had a couple of issues with the staff. This started upon check in. We explicitly booked the Junior suite with Twin beds. However the guy at the reception told us that such rooms do not exist. After endless discussion and a threat that we would not stay at the hotel when downgraded, a supervisor took a look into the situation and finally confirmed that the beds in our rooms have already been separated and everything is as it is supposed to be. Not a nice start to have

At the bar, the staff was clearly overwhelmed with the amount of people visiting despite the fact that there were still some places left. It took them forever to prepare our drinks and we had to ask twice to finally receive our bill.

Staff at the night reception was not friendly at all when we ordered two bottles of water from their mini shop located in the reception.

Other Amenities

They offer a spa and a small fitness room which we both did not visit.

Pass or Fail

FAIL

The hotel itself is quite nice and rooms were modern and clean. The location was good as well, but due to the fact that we encountered some problems basically every time we came in contact with the staff, the hotel receives a fail from us.
