Hotel Review: Hilton West Palm Beach

Review Hilton West Palm Beach of a King executive room with pool view in autumn 2018.

Location

The hotel is located right next to the Palm Beach Convention Center and CityPlace and just a couple of minutes drive to the airport. Numerous restaurants, bars and shops are within walking distance of the hotel.

Rooms

The rooms are spacious and clean, with a couple of seating options and a large working desk. You can see that the hotel is not that old and our room basically looked like a brand new one. The bathroom is big enough too and features a walk-in shower. All other usual amenities are available within the room. The rooms have a good insulation as during the night it was really quiet in the room. The only drawback is that the curtains will not fully darken the room.

Food & Drinks

The hotel features 2 restaurants, one including a bar, a small shop with freshly prepared snacks as well as a pool bar.

We had complimentary full breakfast as a Hilton Gold member and everything you need was available, from freshly prepared eggs to juices and all kind of cold and warm dishes.

The pool bar offers basic soft and alcoholic drinks as well as some snacks

Other Amenities

As you can see in the picture above the hotel offers a huge swimming pool in which you can even train if you want to.The whole swimming pool area is really nice, the only bad thing maybe is that the sun disappears early in the afternoon due to the tall buildings surrounding it. Their fitness center is rather small compared to the hotel size and not fully up to date. In the pool are you also have the possibility to play some outdoor games in a dedicated area. Furthermore they offer a business center, digital keys and a small gift shop.

Unfortunately self parking is not available and you have to use their valet for 25$ a day and it might take up to 10 minutes before your car arrives.

Staff

Most of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Especially during breakfast our Italian server made every effort possible. Only at the bar during the evening the bartender was at some point not that attentive anymore and more flirting with some people at the bar. However we were served just in time before I would have said something.

Pass or Fail

PASS

Definitely a PASS. The hotel is modern with spacious and clean rooms. Everything you need can be found in the surroundings of the hotel and the pool area is simply gorgeous for this type of hotel. I would not hesitate to visit the hotel again.
