Hotel Review: Conrad Miami
Review Conrad Miami of a queen city view room end of 2018 which we booked using Hilton points due to the high price of the hotel
Location
The hotel is located in the Brickell Avenue, a business district. You will find a couple of bars and hotels within walking distance from the hotel. The hotel itself is located in the upper floors of the building as is the reception.
Rooms
Our room was very spacious and clean. However the rooms are not too modern and unfortunately not every room features a King bed. You have a large working desk but only a small chair and a mini sofa as sitting options. As you can see in the picture the mini sofa is somewhat not adequate for a Conrad hotel. The bathroom is spacious and has a very luxury feeling which was nice. All usual amenities are also available in the room and the room darkens well during the night.
Food & Drinks
We had a pre dinner cocktails at the bar near the lobby and they were really delicious and the bar is well equipped.
As a gold member, you receive only a continental breakfast, which in the Conrad Miami means you have the choice of some bread and jam, which is really annoying. We upgraded to a full continental breakfast for 15$, and we must say that if you are entitled to the full breakfast your choice is really good with freshly prepared cold and warm food, and everything we tried tasted delicious. If you are in the hotel we highly recommend you opt in for the breakfast.
Staff
Staff at the hotel was really friendly, there is nothing more to add.
Other Amenities
The Conrad Miami offers a nice gym, a spa, a swimming pool and a tennis court. To access those you need to take the elevator down, walk to the adjacent building and take the elevator up again which is a little bit annoying. Furthermore the pool is definitely not looking too good. Loud music was playing here despite the fact that none was here. I just took a couple of pictures and we immediately left as it was definitely not a place to relax in.
Pass or Fail
FAIL
Despite the fact that most of the things were not bad and the breakfast was really good, we have to give this hotel a pass, mainly because of the high price you have to pay to get a not too modern room with a queen size bed and a small old chair. The pool area is also not as relaxing as promoted by the hotel website. For the price they ask you will definitely find better options in Miami.
