Lounge Review: Qantas Lounge London Heathrow Terminal 3
Qantas Lounge in London Heathrow Terminal 3 review.
Location
The Qantas lounge is located in Terminal 3 of London Heathrow Airport. Once in the Terminal, follow the signs “airline lounges”. The other oneworld lounges of Cathay Pacific and British Airways are also located nearby.
Food & Drinks
The lounge features a solid buffet with a good variety of cold and hot dishes, including soup, salads, pastries, rice, and more. However, if there are no Qantas flights scheduled within the next few hours, the buffet becomes much more limited, offering only light snacks.
For beverages, the lounge provides a selection of soft drinks, wine, beer, and a variety of spirits, available either at the bar or the self-service station.
The standout feature of this lounge is undoubtedly its stunning gin bar, located right at the entrance. It offers an impressive selection of 16 different gins, along with a wide array of delicious gin cocktails. This exceptional bar sets the lounge apart from any other business class lounge I’ve visited. If you’re a gin enthusiast, this lounge is a must-visit, as it offers a true gin-tasting experience.
Seating options
The lounge offers a wide variety of seating options, ensuring that even during busy periods, everyone should be able to find a decent spot. Choices range from dining tables and bar stools to comfortable sofas, catering to different preferences.
Many seats are equipped with power outlets, adding convenience for travelers. Additionally, the lounge features a clean and modern interior, reflecting its relatively recent design.
Other services
Complimentary WiFi is available and a small business center is also embedded in the lounge. The showers and toilets are really nice in terms of decor and very spacious with some amenities as tooth brushes available.
Conclusion
This lounge may not quite match the quality of the Cathay Pacific Lounge in the same terminal, but it remains a very solid option and is certainly superior to most other business class lounges. It’s a comfortable place to spend a few hours during a long layover and unwind before your flight.
The lounge offers a variety of solid food options, delicious desserts, and an extensive selection of beverages. The gin bar, in particular, is outstanding and stands out as the highlight of the lounge.
More than enough seating possibilities are available to accommodate people even if the lounge becomes crowded.
