Review: Goryeo Hotel Andong, a South Korean Love Hotel

We booked the “Suite” at the Goryeo Hotel Andong, a so-called love hotel, for 2 nights as the hotel options are limited in Andong and the hotel got solid reviews on the different sites.

Location

The hotel is located 3 minutes away from Andong’s main station which makes it very convenient to explore the surrounding areas as you can catch all kinds of buses at the main station.

Rooms

Rooms were spacious but a little bit dated. We had an area with a couch and TV, a rather small and very firm queen bed and another single bed. The sink is located in the room next to the bathroom and the bathroom had a whirlpool tub in it and was some sort of wet room. You could see that you were in a love hotel due to the dark hotel floors, the amenities like hair spray, tooth brushes, make up; the very special TV channels available and the condoms issued in the room. The mini-bar made a lot of noise, and this combined with the very firm bed did not help to get some good night of sleep.

Food & Drinks

No bar or restaurant is available at the hotel, only 2 bottles of juices were provided free of charge in your minibar.

Staff

We only were in contact with the receptionist which was standard.

Conclusion

The room itself is okay for one night, but we suggest you try out one of the other hotels available as the sleeping experience was mediocre.
