Lounge Review: SWISS Senator Lounge Geneva
Our SWISS Senator Lounge Geneva review, Schengen area.
The SWISS Senator Lounge Geneva is located on the second level of the terminal, near to a couple of other lounges. Passengers departing from the Schengen area have the possibility to visit this lounge.
Access to the SWISS Senator Lounge in Geneva is limited to Miles-and-More Senator members, Star Alliance first class travellers as well as Star Alliance Gold members flying internationally on the same day.
Seating options
The sitting area is not very big and has typical seating choices like tall chairs, sofas, and dining tables. There’s also a long bench where you can sit. When we first came in, it was crowded, but luckily, it got quieter later in the morning. We think the sitting area can accommodate around 70 people if every seat is filled, but that’s not a lot.
Food and Drinks
The buffet is right near the entrance, and for a small lounge, it was surprisingly good. They had a nice variety of salads, appetizers, soup, and good-quality hot dishes. There were also tasty sweets, desserts, and fresh fruits nicely displayed.
When it comes to drinks, there was a wide selection, especially in high-quality spirits and wines, which is not common in lounges this size. They also had soft drinks and a coffee machine to complete the food and drink options in this lounge.
Other amenities
This lounge has the usual things like free Wi-Fi and power outlets.
On the positive side, there’s a special fridge with a good variety of ice cream.
However, on the negative side, there are no showers, and you can’t find bathrooms in the lounge. You have to use the public bathrooms, which is quite disappointing, especially since this is supposed to be a high-end lounge.
Bottom Line SWISS Senator Lounge Geneva review
Even though the lounge offers great food and an excellent selection of drinks, it’s a bit small. The major downside is the absence of dedicated bathrooms for the lounge, which is a significant drawback.
