If you are flying out of Terminal 1 (Concourse D) at Dubai International Airport on a SkyTeam carrier, or leveraging a Priority Pass, you’ll likely cross paths with the SkyTeam Lounge.
SkyTeam Lounge Dubai (DXB): Quick overview
- Location: Terminal 1 Concourse D, after security in the US transborder departures area
- Who can use it: Eligible SkyTeam passengers, lounge pass holders and paying walk-in guests
- Best feature: The many seating areas available
- Food: A good selection of hot and cold dishes
- Showers: Available for free
Access and Location
The lounge is located after you clear security in Terminal 1 and hop over to Concourse D. The entrance features a clean, modern aesthetic with the signature SkyTeam branding.
A whole bunch of airlines grant you access to this lounge, mainly SkyTeam member airlines—ranging from Air France and Delta to KLM and Virgin Atlantic—alongside other partners like Priority Pass and LoungeKey.
Seating Options
You can find many wood dividers throughout the lounge which is nice as this leads to semi-private zones within the lounge.
Seating options are plentiful and varied, you can find a more open lounge zone outfitted with convenient power-equipped side tables. Then you have some dining zones featuring tables paired with bucket chairs or benches, perfect for a quick pre-flight bite.
Of course, the usual high chairs as well as office desks are not to be missed.
Food & Drinks at the Aspire Transborder Lounge Calgary
Food
The buffet area is bigger than expected and stocked with a surprisingly robust selection of cold and warm items:
Cold Options & Healthy Bites: A neat array of fresh salads, chopped vegetables, olives, local dips like hummus, and artisanal yogurt cups.
Hot Options: A solid selection of hot dihses can be found as well within the lounge as can be seen in the pictures.
Bakery & Sweets: A dedicated dessert case featuring delicate individual cakes, mousse cups, pastries, whole fresh fruits, and croissants.
Drinks
Beverage options are well-covered here. Alongside a standard coffee machine and soft-drink dispensers, the lounge features a dedicated, circular self-serve beverage station.
The alcohol setup is quite respectable for a standard business lounge in the Middle East, boasting an array of spirits, international beers (like Amstel and local ones), and a decent lineup of wines and liqueurs ready for a pre-flight cocktail.

Wi-Fi, Showers and Other Facilities
The restrooms were not especially clean however acceptable during our visit. Showers are available free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis.
Wifi as well as magazines are available as well in the lounge.

SkyTeam Lounge Dubai Review: Bottom Line
While it may not compete with the massive, ultra-luxurious mega-lounges found in neighboring terminals, the SkyTeam Lounge Dubai is a comfortable, stylish, and highly functional space. With dependable Wi-Fi, a fresh food spread, and plenty of seating nooks, it gets the job done nicely before a long-haul flight and is far better than, for example the Lufthansa lounges also available next door. If you are holding a priority pass, even when flying Lufthansa, you should opt for this lounge,
Our verdict
This definitely is one of the better lounges available in this area of Dubai airport. Considering that you have access even with, for example, Priority Pass, this lounge is probably also your best option when flying on a Star Alliance flight.
