Lounge Review: Austrian Senator Lounge Vienna Terminal 3
Our Austrian Senator Lounge, Vienna review, Schengen area in Terminal 3.
Location and Access
The Austrian Senator Lounge at Vienna Airport is situated in Terminal 3, near the F gates, just before passport control. Passengers departing from Terminal 3 can take advantage of this lounge.
Access to the Austrian Senator Lounge is exclusive to Miles & More Senator members and Star Alliance Gold members traveling internationally on the same day.
Seating options
Apart from a few designated rest areas located toward the back, the lounge consists of a single, expansive room offering little to no privacy.
The seating primarily includes dining tables and chairs, complemented by a modest selection of comfortable armchairs scattered throughout the space.
Given its relatively compact size, the lounge often becomes crowded during peak hours, making it difficult to find a comfortable place to sit due to the limited space.
Food and Drinks
The food offerings in the lounge are relatively modest but of exceptional quality.
Guests can enjoy a variety of salads and cold snacks from the buffet. Additionally, a selection of hot dishes is available, freshly prepared by a dedicated lounge attendant, beautifully presented, and highly flavorful.
While the dessert options are limited, they maintain the same high standard of quality and are conveniently available at the buffet.
The beverage selection is extensive, featuring a range of soft drinks, wines, beers, and premium spirits. All drinks are self-service, allowing guests to mix and customize their beverages to their liking.
Other Services
The lounge features several designated rest areas; however, the shower facilities and restrooms are shared and located outside the lounge. As a result, the overall amenities are somewhat underwhelming, particularly for what is considered a “flagship” lounge.
Despite these shortcomings, the lounge offers an attractive view of the Vienna Airport apron, adding a touch of charm to the experience.
A selection of newspapers is available near the entrance, and Wi-Fi is, of course, provided for guests.
Conclusion
While the culinary offerings in this lounge are excellent, its relatively small size becomes a notable drawback during peak hours. Additionally, the absence of on-site restrooms and shower facilities is a significant inconvenience.
