Air France New Business Suite Routes

Air France Business Class Suites Routes

All routes with the corresponding flight numbers, registration numbers, and details about which aircraft have already been retrofitted are published here.

Among the major transatlantic airlines, Air France Business Class still feels surprisingly underrated. Air France currently offers three different Business Class seat products across its long-haul fleet, and the onboard experience can vary quite a bit depending on which aircraft you end up on. The newest and most impressive option is the Safran Versa suite with sliding privacy doors. For now, it’s only installed on select Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.

The latest 777-300ER cabins easily compete with some of the best Business Class products flying today, thanks to the stylish Safran Versa suites, excellent privacy, refined cabin design, and consistently strong onboard service. The older Airbus A350 cabins remain very solid, offering direct aisle access in a modern 1-2-1 layout paired with Air France’s standout catering and hospitality.

These refurbished Boeing 777-300ER are also notable for another reason: they feature Air France’s newest La Première First Class suites, widely considered among the most exclusive and luxurious First Class products in commercial aviation today.

  • Wireless charging and Bluetooth audio
  • New La Première First Class installed
  • 48 Business Class suites in a 1-2-1 reverse herringbone layout

1. What is so special about Air France Business Class Suites?

If you’re specifically booking Air France Business Class, the aircraft to look for is the Boeing 777-300ER equipped with the airline’s newest “La Nouvelle Business” cabin. This is the flagship long-haul product featuring the excellent Safran Versa suite, a modern reverse herringbone seat in a fully private 1-2-1 configuration with sliding doors.

Quite simply, this is the best Business Class seat Air France has ever introduced.

The cabin is arranged across two separate sections with a total of 48 suites: a larger forward cabin with 28 seats and a smaller rear mini-cabin with 20 seats. Every suite offers direct aisle access alongside premium features such as sliding privacy doors, a crisp 4K entertainment screen, wireless charging, Bluetooth audio connectivity, and a fully flat bed.

Visually, the cabin feels unmistakably French. Air France combines deep navy tones with white seat shells, soft beige leather, elegant mood lighting, and carpeting inspired by classic Parisian Haussmann-style apartments. Even the airline’s iconic winged seahorse logo is subtly integrated throughout the design. At 70 cm (27.5 inches) wide, the suites are also among the more spacious Business Class seats currently flying across the Atlantic.

The most desirable seats are usually the bulkhead suites in rows 1 and 9. These feature a larger V-shaped ottoman setup with significantly more legroom and no restrictive footwell, creating a noticeably more spacious sleeping area. Air France typically blocks these seats until 72 hours before departure, although Flying Blue elite members may gain earlier access.

For solo travellers, the best options are the odd-numbered window seats such as 1A, 3A, or 5A, which sit slightly closer to the windows and provide the highest level of privacy.

Compared to Air France’s older Business Class seats, the new Safran Versa suites feel like a major leap forward. The addition of sliding privacy doors, improved storage, larger screens, and a far more refined overall design finally puts Air France in the same conversation as leading Business Class products like Qatar Airways Qsuite and British Airways Club Suite.

2. Air France Business Class Suites Routes

3. How to Check if an Air France Flight Has the New Business Class Suites Cabin

It’s worth noting that not every Air France Boeing 777-300ER has received the new Business Class cabin yet. The airline operates a fleet of roughly 40 Boeing 777-300ERs, and the refurbishment program is still being rolled out gradually across the fleet.

Before booking, it’s always a good idea to double-check the seat map. Aircraft equipped with the newest Safran Versa suites feature 48 Business Class seats in a modern 1-2-1 layout, while older cabins use a different configuration and do not offer the same level of privacy or features.

The easiest way to spot the new product is by looking for the updated seat map and the presence of sliding privacy doors, which are exclusive to the latest Business Class suites.

Important indicators of the new cabin:

  • 48 Business Class suites
  • Sliding privacy doors
  • 1-2-1 reverse herringbone layout
