Lounge Review: British Airways Galleries Club Lounge LHR Terminal 3
Lounge Review: British Airways Galleries Club Lounge LHR Terminal 3
We visited this lounge in winter 2018.
Location & Access
The lounge is located airside, after the waiting area in zone F. The following guests will have access to the lounge:
- Customers travelling in First, Club World or Club Europe
- Executive Club Gold and Silver Members with one guest
- Oneworld Emerald and Sapphire members with one guest.
Food & Drinks
The food selection in the British Airways Galleries Club Lounge LHR Terminal 3 is good in terms of variety as you can see in the pictures. Different hot dishes, from Indian to pasta, are served. A cold salad buffet is also available and all the food is of a decent quality. Furthermore soups, snacks, fruits, cakes and sandwiches are served as well. Maybe the best part in terms of food are the croissants and pastries, which in our opinion, are really delicious and hard to find in lounges.
In terms of drinks, the selection is really good. Everything is in a self-service style, and from soft drinks over beer, wine and spirits, the selection is good as you can see in the pictures as well.
Seating Options
Maybe the biggest downside of the lounge are the available seating options. Pretty much everywhere in the lounge besides of a tiny spot behind a bar, you feel very exposed and have literally no privacy at all. The lounge also gets really crowded from time to time during the peak hours which makes this fact even more uncomfortable. We would love to see some more intimate spots to sit at.
Other Amenities
A variety of different magazines is available in the lounge. Also a rather big business center as well as a dedicated kids zone is available which is a nice touch if you are travelling with kids. The restrooms are spacious but not very upscale.
Conclusion
Despite the problematic seating situation, this lounge is not so bad, as the variety of drinks is very good and the food, in terms of variety and quality is decent. There are definitely better lounges out there but also a lot of worse lounges, so if you are unable to enter the Cathay or Qantas lounge in Terminal 3, you still have a decent option with the British Airways Galleries Club Lounge LHR Terminal 3.

My wife and I have booked tickets from Heathrow T3 with BA. We have paid for World Traveller Plus (Premium) tickets and in the ‘manage your booking’ section it clearly indicates that we can use the Galleries Lounge in Zone F.
Having looked at the said Galleries Lounge info online there is no mention of holders of our class of ticket being able to use this lounge, which is correct?

Until now, it was not possible to enter a lounge with a World Traveller Plus ticket. Maybe they have changed something now for a limited time due to Covid-19…?
To be sure better call BA hotline.
