Qatar Airways To Launch Rapid Covid-19 Tests Before Flights
Qatar Airways will launch rapid Covid-19 testing for passengers before flights, starting mid-October according to CEO Akbar Al-Baker.
Travel Restrictions are still massively crippling the aviation industry. The newly introduced rapid Covid-19 tests could partially lift some of these travel restrictions.
Lufthansa already announced to test their business and first class passengers in October.
According to Qatar Airways CEO, a rapid Covid-19 test would be required and done like a security check and the result would be available while boarding the airplane.
It will be interesting to see if rapid testing can finally lift some of those many travel restrictions that are still in place.
