Access and Location

The Lufthansa Berlin Senator Lounge is located inside Terminal 1, opposite of Gate B20.

Due to the fact that the A gates are somewhat far away from the Lounge, a shuttle service is provided using golf carts every 20 minutes to spare you the rather long walk.

Access is granted to Miles & More Senator and HON members as well as Star Alliance Gold members. Passengers having a First Class flight on any Star Alliance airline the same day can also access.

Seating options

The lounge presents a noticeably different atmosphere compared to the typical Lufthansa experience. The lounge feels bright and inviting. The layout includes several thoughtfully designed corners that offer a greater degree of privacy. These semi-secluded seating areas allow travelers to relax, work, or eat without having to sit immediately next to other visitors, making the overall experience feel more personal and less like a standard airport lounge.

Even a small corner with a bigger table to held meetings is available in this lounge.

Additionally, the lounge was less crowded than the Lufthansa lounges in Frankfurt or Munich usually are.

Food and Drinks

The selection of food in this lounge also stood out as being different from what one might typically expect from the standard Lufthansa offering.

We visited the lounge during the breakfast hours, and were quite happy by the variety and quality of the food offerings available. The buffet featured an appealing selection of both cold and hot dishes, all of which were presented and appetizing manner. The cold items included a range of fresh options such as cheeses, meats, yogurts, fruits, and pastries.  Meanwhile, the hot dishes were replenished regularly.

In addition to the buffet, a designated counter where a special dish was being freshly prepared was available From what we observed, it appears that this freshly prepared dish may be a regular offering, changing depending on the time of day or menu rotation.

In terms of drinks, you can find your standard lounge selection along with some more expensive spirits.

Other services

The usual is available, like free Wi-Fi and some magazines.

Restrooms have been very clean as well when we visited.

The Lufthansa Senator Lounge Berlin ranks among the best Senator Lounges within the Lufthansa network.

What sets this particular lounge apart is primarily its overall atmosphere, which create an experience that feels distinctively more welcoming and comfortable than what one might typically expect from Lufthansa’s standard lounge concept.
