Lounge Review: ICARE Lounge Paris CDG Terminal 1

Lounge Review: ICARE Lounge Paris CDG Terminal 1

We visited this lounge in autumn 2018.

Location & Access

The lounge is located in Terminal 1, right after security on the second floor. On the picture below you can see all available programs and airlines giving you access to the lounge.

Seating Options

You can choose between chairs with a table or some sort of couches. As there were not many people in the lounge this was more than enough. Power sockets are not available at every seat but only at the suite style couches.

Food & Drinks

Regarding soft drinks, a small selection is available. Heineken and a local beer is available as well as some cheap wine. In terms of spirits, the choice is very limited and of very poor quality. Gin is not available at all, for example.

The available food was simply ridicules. A couple of non-tasty looking sandwiches, prepacked cookies and chips, bread and croissants is all you get in this lounge.

The croissants and the bread looked old, like lying there for days. Some Cheddar slices were available as well but if you have a look at the picture below, you would probably better not eating any of those.

Other services

Some magazines and very slow Wi-Fi is everything you can expect in this ICARE lounge. “I care” is a funny name for this lounge, they don’t care about anything.

The toilets were pretty dirty, so you can ask yourself if they are cleaned at all during the lounge opening hours, considering that not many guests were present.

For those of you smoking, maybe the only reason to visit the lounge is their outdoor smoking area.

Conclusion

This was literally the worst lounge we have ever visited. No decent food option at all besides of pre-packed cookies and the cheapest spirits you can get sums up the visit pretty accurately.

We just stayed there for a couple of minutes to take some pictures and left the lounge right away.
