Lounge Review British Airways Galleries Club North Lounge LHR Terminal 5.
We visited this lounge beginning of 2019.
Location & Access
The British Airways Galleries Club North Lounge LHR Terminal 5 is located behind the security area on the left hand side.
Passengers have access if they are travelling on a oneworld alliance and fly business or first class, or if they have a oneworld sapphire or emerald status.
Food & Drinks
The food and drink selection in the British Airways Galleries Club North Lounge LHR Terminal 5 is the standard selection you always find in British Airways lounges in Heathrow. In terms of drinks and spirits you will find everything you need. In terms of food the selection is good, however BA should think about varying the selection available from time to time, as BA basically had the exact same warm and cold choices over a couple of years now. However tasty choices are available as well as good croissants.
Seating Options
There are lots of different seating options, from dining tables over relaxing sofas and high chairs. Power sockets are also widely available. However due to the fact that Terminal 5 becomes very crowded from time to time, the lounge also becomes very crowded and it becomes literally hard to find any spare seat, not to think of a relaxing quit one.
Other Amenities
Lots of different magazines, showers, a business center, luggage storage and spacious toilets can be found within the lounge. WiFi is of course free of charge and the speed is good.
Conclusion
In case of a non to crowded terminal and lounge you can easily spent a couple of hours here and have every amenity, food and drink you will need. However during peak times the lounge is not that pleasant and the problem that most of BA lounges have also exists here. They basically never seem to switch their food selection from time to time.

Noticed the not very hygienic positioning of tongs used by many, in contact with the pains au chocolat.
Crowding and ‘slop’ food is the problem with the British Airways lounges at LHR esp this one.
My thinking is that apart from upgrading the bathroom areas to something more resilient, modern, better looking and easy to clean, British Airways could do well by introducing some sort of noise damping decorative panels. This would cut the enormous noise which adds to the crowded feeling when it’s really full. Honestly it sounds like a beer hall most times I’ve been in there.
