Hotel Review: Sofitel Strasbourg Grande Île

Review Sofitel Strasbourg Grande Île, beginning of 2022.

Location

The Sofitel Strasbourg Grande Île is located literally in the city center in the heart of Grande Île, an UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Room

The suite we booked was really nice. It consisted of a living area separated by a privacy wall from the bedroom, a guest bathroom in the entrance as well as a master bathroom in the bedroom. The style was typical for a Sofitel hotel. All amenities you need were of course available.

2 TVs, a table for 4 people, a sofa, a working desk,…

The bathroom had bathtub shower combo, to make it short we were very happy with our room.

Food & Drinks

We had dinner and breakfast at the Sofitel Strasbourg Grande Île, and we have to say both were delicious.

Dinner was really fairly priced for the quality they served.

In terms of breakfast, there was a huge selection of fresh, quality food, Many warm or cold dishes could have been found at the buffet, as well as freshly prepared cakes.

Furthermore, you could choose from a couple of different egg dished freshly prepared for you at their kitchen.

After doing some shopping, we returned to the room and received a handwritten note with some food, some juice and a very nice bottle of wine. This was a pleasant surprise.

Other Services

Some seating areas are available throughout the hotel. The fitness center is on the very small side of the spectrum and was closed when we visited.

They have on site underground valet parking which comes at a fixed cost per day.

Staff

All the staff were very friendly and helpful in all areas.

Bottom Line

We can highly recommend this hotel after our Review Sofitel Strasbourg if you plan to visit the city, as it is very centrally located, rooms are nice, staff is excellent and food is delicious.
