Flight Review: Turkish Airlines Business Class A330-300
Turkish Airlines has a sweet spot when it comes to ‘shorter’ long-haul routes, you still get the full Business Class experience, often at great value, even on their older jets. We hopped on one of these flights to see what it’s really like, and here’s the full review
Check-in and Boarding
Since we were on an international connection, we stayed airside at Istanbul Airport, no need to deal with check-in, which is always a win.
Boarding happened in the usual group system. It was mostly smooth, though of course, there’s always that one person who gets up at the wrong time.
Flight
TThis was an early morning hop, about 5 hours from Istanbul to Dubai, departing at 7 a.m. Not too long, not too short, just enough to really test the Business Class experience.

The Cabin and Seats
Turkish Airlines’ A330-300 Business Class comes in a 2-2-2 layout. Translation: if you’re in a window seat, you’ll either be climbing over your neighbor or being climbed over. Not ideal if privacy is your thing.
That said, the seats themselves? Super comfy. Spacious, supportive, and paired with a plush pillow and blanket that make it easy to relax. The open concept means there’s zero privacy, but if you don’t mind that, you’ll love the comfort.
Some clever touches:
- The footrest doubles as a big storage compartment.
- A handy coat hook and reading light are built in.
Practical, thoughtful design, just not the most private setup.
Food & Drinks
Breakfast was the standout star of this flight. Honestly, one of the best we’ve had in the air. Beautifully presented, delicious, and surprisingly creative—especially the kids’ meal, served as a smiley face (such a cute touch).
The spread included:
- Fresh fruit
- Cold cuts
- Pastries
- Made-to-order eggs
It felt more like a boutique hotel breakfast than something served on a plane at 35,000 feet.
Amenities
Pretty standard amenity kit, nothing to write home about. But the restroom amenities were impressively well stocked and presented, which is always appreciated mid-flight.
Entertainment
Each seat came with a large screen, but since the seats are set back, it didn’t feel as immersive as it could have. The noise-cancelling headphones helped, and the little seat-side controller was easy to use.
The real win? Free Wi-Fi for Business Class passengers. That’s always a game-changer.

Service
This is where things got… uneven.
- The good: Pre-departure lemonade (refreshing and tasty), plus attentive, genuinely warm service during breakfast.
- The not-so-good: After breakfast, the cabin lights were dimmed and the crew basically disappeared. For a morning flight with just a one-hour time difference, it felt strange to sit in the dark until landing. If you needed anything, you had to wander to the galley yourself.

Bottom Line
With competitive fares, it’s always worth thinking about flying Turkish Airlines in Business Class.
On this particular flight, the food was excellent, but the service could’ve been better. The entertainment system on this aircraft wasn’t ideal since you’re sitting pretty far from your screen. The seats were really comfortable, but the lack of privacy and that 2-2-2 configuration weren’t great.
