Check-in and Boarding

Check-in at Luxembourg Airport was smooth and efficient, especially since we were among the first passengers in line. Fast Track access makes security quick and easy, less than five minutes from start to finish. Interestingly, Fast Track is available for passengers flying Business Class with certain airlines, such as Lufthansa and a few others, but not for all carriers, which can feel a bit inconsistent.

Boarding is officially done by groups, but in practice, it’s more of a “first-come, first-squeeze” situation. Luxembourg Airport doesn’t exactly enforce the order, so expect a few enthusiastic passengers to jump the queue here and there.

The aircraft has a 2-2 seating configuration. In Business Class, one seat next to you is blocked, giving you more space. Legroom is modest, which is manageable for the short 30-minute flight but may feel tight on longer journeys. Personal air vents are available, adding a touch of comfort for the brief trip.

For early morning departures, Lufthansa CityJet provides a light breakfast. On our flight, this included a fresh croissant, a small glass of orange juice, and a healthy shot. While it’s not a gourmet experience, it’s a convenient option for a very short hop between Luxembourg and Frankfurt.

Amenities on this short-haul flight are minimal. A small piece of chocolate was offered, but no additional extras are provided.
