British Airways Club Suite Routes

The Ultimate Guide for BA Club Suite, all the info you need about routes where you can experience the new BA Club Suite, including flight numbers, plane registrations, retrofit schedules, and more.

Introduction

Over the last years, BA was not really known to offer an excellent business class product. By introducing their new Club Suite with sliding doors, this has definitely changed now.

British Airways received the first club suite cabin with the A350-1000, in July 2019. The list below shows you all aircraft that are currently equipped with the new Club World Suites. It will grow significantly in the near future, and we will update the list as fast as possible when changes will occur.

There is, of course, still the possibility that dates will change, as not all the planes with the new cabin have arrived yet. This list represents not only the present, but also the future planned routes with the new club suite cabin.

Furthermore, you will also be able to see the last operated routes from a particular aircraft, simply click on the aircraft’s registration number.

We publish business class deals from Europe and from North America on a daily basis, also these with the British Airways Club World Suite, when deals appear.

1. All BA Club World Suite Routes

These flights are always to/from London Heathrow.

By clicking on a flight number, you can see on planefinder.net which aircraft flew that route the last 7 days. You may then compare those registration numbers with our “BA Club Suite by registration number list”, to see how often a route is operated by airplanes equipped by the club suite business class.

Furthermore, some few of those routes are not operated every day by the Club World Suite cabin, flight numbers should only be considered as additional information.

Keep in mind that British Airways can change flight equipment at any given time without further notice. For any reason, like an aircraft that is out of service. As you booked a business class flight, you will of course be in business class, but without the new club world suite cabin.

2. How to check if a British Airways flight offers the new Club World Suite?

All of British Airways’ new Airbus A350-1000 will offer the new Club World Suite.

Since October 2019, the first new Club world Suite cabin has been available in a retrofitted Boeing 777-200 as well. From that moment on, more and more B777-200 are being retrofitted.

In 2020 the new Boeing 787-10 did also receive the club suite cabin.

The way you can tell if an aircraft has the new BA Club World Suite cabin is from the seat map. We use ExpertFlyer to check the seat maps. This is what you need to look out for.

The seat map for the Club Suite looks like this, with a cabin layout that show a 1-2-1 seating arrangement. Older cabins without the club suite do not have a 1-2-1 configuration.

Alternatively, you can also check via Google Flights if the business class seat is shown as “Suite”. However, this will not always work correctly.

Hi I’m flying on BA271 LHR to Las Vegas on 13 April. It’s a 777. The seat map is 1-2-1 but not the angled seats in your diagram. Does this mean it’s not club suite despite 1-2-1?

  • Infrequent-flyer-programme

I’m flying on 28th January 2025 from LHR to ORD. The aircraft has changed from 787-9 to 787-10 is it likely it will be changed again before the 28th? As I am really looking forward to the new business class cabins

    • premiumflights

27th January seems to be the first time that BA uses the 787-10 on that route, I wouldn’t say that it is 100% sure that you will have club suites, there could be still a change…

      • Glm11

I’m flying LGW to MCO and have noticed over the last few months they seem to be using the refitted planes quite often although not all the time. I’m guessing this is because a plane they normally use is being serviced or repaired or something?

        • premiumflights

That might be the case, but as often mentioned, BA haven’t announced yet when they start using the club suites from/to LGW.

  • Mike

Looking to fly BA216 IAD to LHR on 06/24/25 which appears to be 777-300 with club suites. I’ve seen somewhere that three of the non-club suites 777-200 from LGW are still being used out of LHR. Is there any way of knowing whether the non-club suites 777-200 are used on the LHR to/from IAD?

  • James

When is the first 787-9 expected to have it’s retrofit complete and is their any info on which destinations they will deploy the first 787-9s with club suite?

  • George

What about BA224 (MSY-LHR) in May 2025? Looks like the route might switch from the 777 to the 787-10 late March / April.

    Thanks !

    • premiumflights

No, the A380 won’t have suites installed before 2026. It is foreseen that BA begins retrofitting the A380 in end of 2025.

  • PremiumFlyer

Hi – I have paid for round trip business class tickets for my family (3 of us) end of May’25 – BOM-LHR-BOM.

    a) Both ways we are booked on a 787-8 aircraft and is showing Club World seats. Should I hold any optimism that this will change to Club Suites in the near future ?

    b) Also I am observing paid seats in the chart – should I be worried of downgrade for either one of us if I don’t pay for the seat ? I have read some pretty horror stories on BA downgrading folks from Business Class to Premium Economy/Economy if seat is not allotted.

    • premiumflights

      Hello,
      a) I don’t think that by May,25 the 787-8 will be equipped with Club Suites.
      b) You mean you bought biz tickets, but you still haven’t paid to reserve your seats (in order to sit together) ?
I’ve never heard of a story on downgrading because of that.
The last time I flew with BA (in April 24) I didn’t pay for my seats (3 of them), I waited 72h before the flight took place and reserved my seat for free (I was Bronze at that time). But as I wanted to sit together, I always kept an eye on the seats that had been already taken.

  • Michael Ward

I have checked the most recent Nashville flights on FlightAware & it seems the equipment being used is now a 787-8, very few of which have Club Suites. Previously it may have been a 777 used on this route. Is this correct? Thanks

  • Flying Japan

I am flying on BA07 London to Japan early October 2025, I really dislike the old style club seats so I’m happy to see they are the new club suites, but returning at the end of October ’25 on ba06 it is currently showing the old style club on the 787-9. Do you have any view on the cabin refit plan and the likelihood we will be pleasantly surprised ?!

  • Friend Brian

Out of interest, what is the source for section 5 (destinations that will always have the suites)? Sadly, not all flights to Barbados are upgraded yet, as I’ve just boarded and to my surprise it’s still the old layout!

    • premiumflights

I guess that was bad luck, if you check the last 10 flights from LHR to BGI, you can see that only 1 flight had no suites.

  • Bella Ramsay

Is there any news yet on the LHR -YUL route? Seems odd that some flights appear to be suites but not all currently.

I’m also planning LHR-SFO from end of March 2025, but I see that suites are only UNTIL March, why is that? I thought new routes were being added all the time, not losing suites 🙁

    • premiumflights

To SFO they switch from the 777 to the 787 in March, that’s why there are no suites anymore on that route. But as more and more 787 with club suites are delivered, chances increase that there will be a 787 with club suites coming soon. And in the future the A380 should get club suites again (but no one knows when).
The same counts for YUL, it’s operated once a day by a 787, so it’s just a mater of time when they have enough 787’s with club suites

  • Leonidas

Hi thanks for all the super useful info! G-ZBLK is now in fleet . Carried out already flights to Bridgetown and scheduled for ORD and SEA

  • Charlotte Perry

I’m booked on the 21.25 Chicago to London Heathrow on the 13th May 2025, when I booked it’s just showing as a 787 looking at the plane configuration I’m really hoping it’s the new Club Suite!

    • premiumflights

I added it to the list, starting April 2025 there are 2 daily flights between LHR and AUS. Both have club suites installed.

  • Scott

BA0271 London to Vegas is not operating at the moment, but was back in 2023, and will be when I want to go in May 2025. Does this imply its getting upgraded, so when it back in May 25 it will have the suite in business? thanks

    • premiumflights

LHR to LAS is operated by an A350 with club suites, I flew it this year and last year, flight numbers are BA274 and BA275 as written in the post.
BA271 was the old flight number that isn’t active anymore.

      • Scott

Yes, but for May 2025, BA0271 will be running again and is listed as a 777 – on Fridays and Wednesday at least, so I was wondering if you knew or suspect that will have the suites then? thanks

        • premiumflights

I see what you mean, I didn’t notice that there were 2 daily flights starting April on Wednesdays and Fridays.
And to give you an answer, yes it seems that the second flight, operated by a 777, is equipped by club suites as well.

          • Scott

Sorry to confirm, there are 2 flights LON>LAS on 14 May 2025.
            Boeing 777 BA271 12:15 and Airbus A350 BA275 17:00
Do you think both these will be the suite?
            Thanks

      • premiumflights

It seems that starting March, the flight to/from Portland will have the club suites installed. I have a flight my self on that route in August, and the seatmap shows club suite as well.

  • geoff

Booked BA0225 to New Orleans for October 2024. Specifically selected BA because it was scheduled as operating the new Club World Suites cabin – now one week before the flight BA has changed the plane to one with an old Club World seat cabin. )-: No notification or explanation.

    • premiumflights

You really have bad luck there, I can only see one flight in October that doesn’t have the suites, and the last flights all had the new club world suites installed as well.

        • premiumflights

BA2230 is flying to LGW, not to LHR. No flights from/to LGW have the new suites installed yet (with very few exceptions), so it will be old style.

          • Luke

Flying LHR – LAX in October 25. Looks to be on the A380.
Any info on if they will be upgraded to suites by then?

          • premiumflights

There are 3 daily flights, 2 with club suites on the 777, and 1 with the A380 without suites. Until now, none of the A380 has suites, and it isn’t known when the first one will be retrofitted. But as the A380 will get the new first class in 2026, I guess they will install the club suites together with the new first class.

  • Dex

BA has been flying 202 (BOS to LHR) on 777s all summer (and maybe further back), but looks like my Dec 2024 flight is on 787 with old club seats.
