Hotel Review: Hilton Munich City

Hotel review: Hilton Munich City of a short stay end of December in a Deluxe Twin room.

Location

Hilton Munich City is conveniently located in the city center at the Rosenheimer Platz. Plenty of bars and restaurants are within walking distance of the hotel and the Underground station “Rosenheimer Platz” can be reached conveniently from the hotel trough a dedicated lift.

Rooms

Rooms have recently been renovated and are modern, clean and are in a pretty good shape as they are quite new. Rooms are ok in terms of size.

A chair, small sofa and a small table is available within the room. However a dedicated working desk is missing in the room.  The bathroom is adequate and we had a bathtub with an integrated shower. All other usual amenities are available in the room.

Our room was very quiet because it was facing the inner courtyard. However the view was not nice at all due to this fact. I personally prefer a quite room during night over a view with traffic noise like we had here.

Food & Drinks

The mini bar is well stuffed and we had some nuts and candy as a welcome gift in our room.

We drank some cocktails at their bar which were very good and well presented. The bar itself is nice to hang out for a drink during the evening.

We also had breakfast here due to our Gold status. Unfortunately it was pretty crowded so I couldn’t take any pictures, but breakfast was really good with a huge variety of all kinds of dishes including traditional Bavarian dishes like for example German Weisswurst.

Staff

Staff at check-in  was extremely friendly and staff at the bar and during breakfast was helpful as well. I really would like more hotels to train their staff as well as the hotel here.

A small fitness center is available at the hotel as well as a business center and a car rental desk,

The hotel has modern renovated rooms and is perfectly located to explore the city and the location above an underground station is ideal to get around easily. The district is quiet during the night and staff extremely friendly, so I can highly suggest this hotel for a city trip in case you are visiting Munich.
