Flight review: Helvetic Airways Business Class Luxembourg to Zurich E190-E2
Flight review in Business class by Helvetic Airways, from Luxembourg to Zurich in December 2021.
The flight was booked trough SWISS, but was operated by Helvetic Airways on a new Embraer E190-E2.
At the Airport
Check-in was done using the SWISS business class counter and was flawless. This also applies to the boarding procedure, business class passengers could board the aircraft first with status customers.
However, no lounge access and no fast track lane was available when flying with the Lufthansa Group out of Luxembourg.
Seats
Seats in Helvetic Business Class are the same as in Economy, only the seat next to you remains empty. Seats are a bit more comfortable than on most other European carriers.
A nice thing that have are two USB power outlets on each seat. However, on our flight they were not working, so they became pretty much useless.
Food & Drinks
It was a morning flight, only soft drinks and coffee or tea was served.
A small cold snack was served on this short 45 minutes flight, including a small dessert. It was nothing out of this world, but tasted very good and was excellent for this very short flight.
Service
The crew was very friendly and attentive, they asked business class passengers a couple of times if they would need something else. Furthermore, passengers from economy class trying to get a seat in the empty economy class were repeatedly put back into their right seat.
When you are travelling with children, you will receive a small kit for them, which is a nice touch
Helvetic Business Class Bottom Line
Beside from a free seat next to you and free food, the benefits of flying in Business class within Europe, like with most European carriers, are mediocre. However, the crew was top-notch on our flight, which definitely is not always the case.
