Flybe will become Virgin Connect in 2020
The airline Flybe will become Virgin Connect following its £2.8m sale.
The name change will be accompanied by a new livery and the purple planes will be repainted red.
Flybe was sold in February to a consortium of operators called Connect Airways, which was led by Richard Branson’s Virgin Atlantic.
The company said flights would continue to operate as normal.
Flybe announced on their website :
As Flybe, we have been connecting passengers across the UK and Europe for 40 years and as we embark on an ambitious transformation, Virgin Connect will continue our work as Europe’s Largest Regional Airline.
Excited to announce that in 2020 we will be joining the #VirginFamily as Virgin Connect, your new go-to name in regional flying ❤️
